Education & training
Supporting access to quality schooling, scholarships, adult literacy and skill-building opportunities for young people and adults.
Sirumalai Hills, Tamil Nadu
We work alongside hill tribal communities to widen access to education, healthcare, dignity and sustainable livelihoods.
Who we are
Hill Tribals Welfare Development Trust supports tribal communities in the Sirumalai Hills of Dindigul district, Tamil Nadu.
For communities in remote hill regions, distance can make essential services difficult to reach. Our purpose is to help remove barriers to education, healthcare and opportunity—while respecting identity, culture and self-determination.
What we focus on
Our work is guided by the needs and aspirations of hill tribal communities, with a focus on long-term, community-centred change.
Supporting access to quality schooling, scholarships, adult literacy and skill-building opportunities for young people and adults.
Working to make essential healthcare more reachable for families who live far from medical services and infrastructure.
Advocating for dignity, representation and equitable access to the resources people need to build resilient lives.
Every community holds knowledge, strength and a vision for its own future.
How we work
We believe lasting progress begins with listening. The trust seeks to create conditions in which hill tribal communities can preserve their heritage, participate in decisions that affect them and pursue the futures they choose.
Our commitment
Every person deserves the chance to live with security, dignity and hope.
